Nestled in the heart of Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Fox Meadow Barn provided the perfect backdrop for a day that was colorful, heartfelt, and full of personality.
From family heirlooms to a packed dance floor, every detail reflected who these two are as a couple, and it was an absolute joy to help bring their vision to life.
A Love Story That Started at the Gym
Jeni and Tristan's story began where many great love stories don't usually start: the gym.
The two worked together and secretly crushed on each other for months before officially connecting through a dating app. Once they started dating, their relationship quickly blossomed. One of their favorite traditions became taking beach trips together, starting with a memorable getaway to the Outer Banks. Both grew up with fond beach memories, and those trips became a special way for them to reconnect and create new traditions together.
When it came time to propose, Jeni had only two requests: keep it private and keep it low-key.
Tristan originally planned a proposal at a winery with friends, but when word started spreading and more people wanted to join, he remembered what Jeni wanted most. Instead, he surprised her on a random Thursday evening in the woods behind their home. It was intimate, unexpected, and perfectly them.

A Day Centered Around Family
One of the most meaningful aspects of this wedding was the intentional way Jeni and Tristan honored their families.
Instead of greeting guests with a traditional welcome display, they created a table overflowing with family photographs. The collection included cherished images of loved ones who had passed away, alongside favorite childhood memories and family milestones.
Throughout the day, special heirlooms served as subtle reminders of the generations who helped shape their story. Jeni wore a necklace passed down from her grandmother. Family china made an appearance in the décor. Even the cake-cutting set belonged to her parents and had been used at their wedding years before.
These thoughtful details transformed the celebration into something deeply personal and uniquely theirs.
Bright Summer Florals & Meaningful Moments

One of my favorite moments happened just before the ceremony began. As guests found their seats, Jeni and Tristan gathered their wedding party into a private prayer circle. It was a beautiful opportunity to pause, honor their faith, and center themselves before walking down the aisle. The room was filled with love, support, and anticipation.
What Wedding Day Management Really Means
Jeni and Tristan hired me for Wedding Day Management, which included vendor coordination, timeline creation and management, rehearsal coordination, décor setup and styling, guest flow oversight, and on-site management from start to finish.
I intentionally use the term "Wedding Day Management" rather than "day-of coordination."
After years in the wedding industry, I've learned that true coordination doesn't begin on the wedding day. Long before guests arrive, I'm communicating with vendors, building timelines, answering questions, organizing logistics, and creating a plan that allows couples to fully enjoy their celebration.
My role is simple: manage the details so you can focus on being present.
Dancing, Memories, and Soaking It All In
As the evening unfolded, guests filled the dance floor to iconic hits from Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Pink Pony Club. The energy was contagious, and it was clear that everyone was having the time of their lives.
One of my favorite details happened during dinner when Jeni and Tristan recorded a quick video from their sweetheart table. They panned around the room, captured their favorite people, and shared a few thoughts about the day.
It's such a simple idea, but one I absolutely love. Weddings move quickly, and taking a moment to intentionally soak everything in is something couples rarely regret.
